I remain silent

Most of the time 

Not because I have nothing to say

But because if I speak 

It might be taken the wrong way

Or it may cause someone to hurt

So I remain silent 

So that I may listen

Learn from the speakers 

Differentiate the accentuation 

Perhaps I too could learn how to speak like that

But not right now

Later

When I can utter the words

And perfect the accent

So I won't be afraid nor ashamed

But until that moment

I remain silent
